What else do I need to know? These Help Files have been designed to help you use the product, but also to help resolve common problems.
Customers commonly report that this type of self help support is enhanced when the following points are considered:
New to the product? If you are new to this product, you are probably eager to begin using it right away! Remember that taking a few minutes to read the Help Files before you begin can save you from experiencing common usage problems, and also ensures you are fully aware of how to get the most out of your software.
More haste, less speed! We are here to support you during our operational hours, but if you need to fix something after hours or cannot wait, remember to take your time and approach the problem carefully. Set aside some uninterrupted time in which you can concentrate on the recommended steps. Avoid skipping over steps or making assumptions the software will operate in a similar way to other software you have used in the past. People often report that rushing at a problem usually ends up hindering the process or can even make things worse.
Does the system measure up? Always make sure your computer system meets the minimum system requirements. If you are just on (or only slightly above) the minimum requirements, the software may still not be able to run if other background applications are using up resources on your system. Especially in the case of Processor and RAM requirements, these base requirements are measured against a system that is idle with nothing else running. So the 'real world' requirement can often be larger based on what you have running at the same time.
Help us help you... If you need to report a problem to our Support Engineers, keep in mind that the more accurate and detailed your initial message is, the faster your problem is likely to be resolved. Avoid making general remarks like "it does not work" or "I get an error" without including some specific detail on what is happening (i.e. the exact text in the error messages). Remember that our Engineers will do everything they can to help you out, but they are only be able to work with what you give them.
